The first Strikeforce card of the year is in the books and it had a little bit of everything on the televised portion of the card. Headlined by a welterweight showdown between the undefeated Tyron Woodley and Tarec Saffiedine, it was the female fight that stole the show.
Amanda Nunes needed only 14 seconds to finish off Julia Budd and send a statement to women’s middleweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos. With little fighters waiting to step in with Santos, Nunes just might be the one for the job.
Here is the results for the main card:
Tyron Woodley vs. Tarec Saffiedine – Tyron Woodley by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)
Daniel Cormier vs. Devin Cole – Daniel Cormier by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Ovince St. Preux vs. Ron Humphrey – Ovince St. Preux by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Amanda Nunes vs. Julia Budd – Amanda Nunes by 1st round TKO 14
Rhadi Ferguson vs. John Richard – Rhadi Ferguson by 2nd round Submission (Knee Bar)
And remember.......... You Can't Win, Until You Step IN...
